Intercity Seoul Hotel

The room made good use of the space, with a little bedroom above the kitchenette. We had a microwave, fridge, stove, and laundry, but sadly no utensils or cooking appliances. The location was great for late-night restaurants, though some businesses open late in the morning. There's also a 24-hour CU across the street.

I stayed here before my connecting flight the next day, and it was very convenient for getting to gimpo airport.

I like this location for short visits. It's very convenient, and there are great places to eat.

I stayed here for nine nights last week with three guests. It was a decent hotel for the price. When I booked it, the cost was over $650. It's in a non-touristy area, with Line 5 only a four-minute walk away. The street is generally quiet even though the chicken and beer restaurants across the road stay open until 3 am. There's also a CU right across the street. The lobby kiosk lets you buy or top up a WOW Pass and exchange foreign currency for Korean won in cash. The room came with soap, shampoo, conditioner, a few bath and hand towels, and two bottles of water in the fridge. Each day staff left a bag with fresh towels and water bottles outside the door. There was a washing machine, water boiler, microwave, stove, and coat hanger. The bed wasn't very comfortable. The steps up to the loft bed have no railing and felt somewhat dangerous, and the ceiling up there is low, so watch your head. The washer doesn't dry clothes, so you have to hang them somewhere. We only had four hangers, which wasn't enough for my family. We hung the rest of the damp clothes on the loft railing and in the empty loft space, but with hardly any air circulation, some stayed a bit wet and ended up smelling like rags. They provide just three rolls of toilet paper, and because they're thick, they don't last long. You have to call or go down to the lobby for more. The TV was confusing at first. You have to switch to HDMI 2 and press some kind of button on the side. The controllers and washing machine are only in Korean, so have a translation app handy. The air conditioner was strange, more like a fan or heater, and confusing to use. It didn't cool the room at all. In hot weather it got stuffy and humid; opening the window a little barely helped. The shower's small glass divider doesn't keep the water in, and there's no separation between the shower and bath, so expect the whole floor to get wet. The bathroom sink overflowed and drained very slowly, so I had to brush my teeth and wash my face and hands at the kitchen sink. The main cable plug in the wall was loose and fell out whenever I tried to plug in my chargers. If you're planning to do laundry, I'd recommend using a laundromat near the hotel.
