WD Hotel

The subway, restaurants, and convenience stores are all close by, so it was easy to get around Seoul from WD Hotel Sillim. My room was spotless, modern, comfortable, and well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I needed them. It was good value, and I’d gladly come back on another visit. Highly recommended.

Getting here is easiest from Sillim Station exit 6. With luggage, use exit 7 for the escalator. The hotel doesn't have a washing machine, but there’s a laundromat behind the building. My deluxe double room was roomy and very clean, and the air conditioning worked great. Thanks to the housekeeping staff. There’s a large shower stall in the bathroom, and the toilet flushes by itself after you get up. You can crack the window open for fresh air. The hallways and sometimes the lobby aren’t cooled, though, and can feel stuffy and musty. See the pictures below if you want food recommendations. A couple of things for the owner to address: the tiles in front of the hotel are broken, and I nearly fell twice. The freshly washed towels also still smell of sweat inside, so the laundry company may need changing.

The area was great, with easy train access to other parts of town. There’s also a really nice charter bus to the airport that leaves from a stop near the hotel. Staff were kind and helpful, and the price was good. I found the light switches a little confusing, but otherwise it was a really great stay.

My room was big and clean, and the hotel was quiet. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I do wish the room lights were brighter. At 80k won a night, I’d stay again.
