A good spot to stay, with kind hosts and great coffee.

Really bad.

I stayed in a four-person room by myself during the off-season last month, and it was the cleanest hostel I've ever used. It's an affordable place, and I'm planning to return when I want to see the sea. From Sokcho Bus Terminal, it's only a 20-second walk. The building has a basement, shared spaces, a cafe on the first floor, a workcation area on the second, and hostel rooms on the third and fourth. The room's air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom had plenty of amenities. You only need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. There's a water dispenser downstairs, and you can freely eat food you bought elsewhere.

I used to go to parties and hang out here, but these days I mostly stay over because the price is reasonable, especially in the off-season when it's less crowded. I have seen the owner, Won-Tu, work incredibly hard and grow on Instagram since the classic hostel next door. He's a local cultural entrepreneur. Parking can be tricky, with counterfeit spots around, so you may need to park farther away and walk. Don't use other spots or you could get ticketed, and parking directly in front can block traffic. This time, some people came back late after drinking and talking, which was a bit of a problem. Haha.
