It’s a really good place to stay and I’d recommend it. It’s a little out of the way, but there’s a convenience store nearby.

The apartment had plenty of space and everything needed for cooking, but I wouldn’t stay here again because I couldn’t feel confident about how or when it had been cleaned. On arrival, the bathroom seemed untouched. I asked for it to be cleaned again, but they moved me to another apartment instead. That one was almost the same, so I didn’t ask a second time. Over two nights, I never got past the feeling that the place was dirty. I even wore my own slippers in the shower. There were water marks and grime on the sink, shower, floor, and bedding, and the pillows smelled awful. I barely slept. Even public restrooms used by tens of thousands of people would be cleaner. It was terrible, even in the off-season, and imagining a family with children staying there is beyond me. I hate writing bad reviews, but this one really needed to be said.
Getting there and around was easy, and everything was handled without face-to-face contact. It felt clean and comfortable, like home.
The rooms are clean and have the essentials, including a fridge, washing machine, induction cooktop, and rice cooker. If you can, ask for Building A, where the view of Ulsanbawi Rock is stunning.
The view straight out to Ulsanbawi Rock was fantastic, though you can’t see the rock at night. The room itself wasn’t large, but it was comfortable, clean, and well heated, and we had everything we needed. I’d say it suits two adults and one or two children. We booked through Airbnb in December 2023. Sokcho downtown is a bit far, but even during the year-end peak season the price was reasonable, and there was plenty of parking. If you’re driving, I’d recommend it.
