Just around the corner from the bus terminal, this little guesthouse is new and well cared for. The owners were so friendly, and they included a light breakfast and even brewed coffee for us. The beds are really wide, and the bathroom is huge. Probably the most charming place to stay in Sokcho. Highly recommended!
Guesthouse Wave feels like a modest home, with a Santorini style. It’s recently been refreshed and is busy welcoming visitors. The owners’ customer service may seem a little awkward, but they come across as sincere and warm. There are three dorm rooms on the first floor, each with a shower, plus a wide terrace. Upstairs are two pension rooms, a sitting room, kitchen, shower, and another broad terrace. Breakfast is included, and it seems like a great place for solo travelers. It’s a 2-3 minute walk from Sokcho Intercity Bus Terminal, and the Sokcho Culture Center is right in front. Cultural events are held there often, and most are free with support from Sokcho City. If you enjoy breakfast and cultural events like plays, a stay at Guesthouse Wave can be almost free when your dates line up.
