Suncheonman S Hotel

The corridor gave us the impression of jail cells, though we half joked about it. The whole hotel felt spooky and unpleasant, and I was glad to check out the next morning. The bed was rock hard. The shower was strange too, so I ended up skipping my shower that morning.

Cheap and nice.

There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby, and on a clear day Suncheon Bay Garden is an easy walk, about 800 meters away. I asked at check-in about housekeeping hours, and appreciated having someone at the front desk even though I arrived late. The first floor has a simple restaurant, convenience store, and cafe, plus a well-equipped fitness center that I didn't use. Parking is plentiful, with underground, above-ground, and outdoor spaces. The facilities were clean for the room price. My room did have a bathtub, but it didn't work and the plug looked like it needed repair. Still, it's a good place for the price.

I extended my stay and was pleased with the discount and cafe coupon they gave me. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and the service is excellent. There were a couple of disappointments: the first-floor cafe was said to sell craft beer, but didn't, and the restaurant downstairs closed earlier than usual. When I tried ordering delivery, they said it couldn't be brought to my room.
