Anook Hotel Suwon Station

Getting a really good night's sleep was easy here. The beds and comforter were excellent, and there were several pillow choices, including memory foam and fluffy ones. It was also much quieter than our previous place, and both sleeping and showering were comfortable. The bathroom had a full shower with handheld and overhead faucets that warmed up quickly. A hair dryer, robes, slippers, comb, tissues, face wash, shampoo and conditioner were provided, though there was no lotion. The room felt brand new, with fun modern appliances and even a massage chair. I hadn't seen a Samsung clothes refresher before. We tried a wool jacket in it, and it came out fine. I looked it up afterward and found it was an AirDresser, which uses high-temperature steam to refresh and sanitize clothes. Breakfast had a large spread with Korean and American choices, though they seemed strict about ending it at 9 a.m. There were plenty of outlets and USB ports, handy if you forgot to get a converter. It's only a couple of minutes' walk to the station, although its underground area can be confusing, so leave time to find your way. The train into Seoul cost us just $2 and took around 33 minutes. The neighborhood itself was only okay, but the convenient station access made the stay worthwhile. If you're coming to this area, this was a comfortable hotel at a good price.
