The room was very clean even at the low price. Mine was hanok-style, though standard rooms are available too. It's an easy walk into town, and the hotel is right by the train station, bus terminal, and a 24-hour store. Handy for an overnight stay before the park, but you'll need transportation to get there.

The room has a musty smell, and the bathroom feels cold and drafty. There's no separate table either. A steam sauna is built into the bathroom, but it doesn't work.

I came to Taebaek for hiking and booked a motel. During what may have been the peak winter season, the motel prices seemed quite high for the facilities.
