The hosts were very friendly, and the rooms were clean. I first came two years ago and returned this year hoping for the same experience. I wasn’t disappointed. They also have a party every night, which makes it easy to find people to travel with the next day. I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels, but haven’t found many like this. It’s a place I think of when visiting tonyeong. The manager is one helluva guy hahaha.

The guesthouse beds have curtains, so I didn’t have to worry about other people staring, and each one had a personal safe with a password. The bedding was clean, and maybe it was just my room, but there were three concentrators, which was nice. Breakfast was light, with bread, eggs, and juice. The main draw is a fun guesthouse party from 9 p.m. for two and a half hours, with a 10,000 won admission fee. There’s underground parking, though it seems hard to use at night because all the lights are off.

Having Dongpirang and Seopirang close by made getting around easy, and I liked having the honey bread market and another market nearby too. The room was clean, with an electric blanket on the bed in winter. There was plenty of hot water and towels, though the parking lot felt a little tight.

The water pressure was so weak that washing my face took about 20 minutes, and I didn't even try to shower. The party itself was miserable too. I came all the way from Seoul expecting sashimi and fruit after paying 10,000 won, but the snacks were a few pieces of sashimi, limp-looking fried chicken, and soggy crackers. They packed six of us around a table meant for two or maybe three, which felt like boot camp. They'd promised to balance the number of men and women, but there were hardly any women, something like 9.9 men to one woman. I did enjoy chatting with different people, but in the end I felt the owner had lied. I'm starting the New Year on a sour note. Hope everyone chooses wisely, and may the owner receive many blessings.

I slept comfortably, even with the occasional party going on, because the lounge is separate from the sleeping area. The wooden bunks also surprised me by not creaking at all, haha. The bedding was clean and good quality, the amenities were well equipped, and breakfast was neat and tidy. The owners are an attentive, kind couple, sometimes almost too kind. My only small issue was that the pillow felt a little too high, but shifting position was enough for me to sleep fine. If you're after a really clean guesthouse for a restful stay rather than a party, I think this is a great option. good good b
