Tongyeong Tourist Hotel

I booked this room for a last-minute family trip to Tongyeong after weighing up the options and seeing the good reviews. The hotel turned out to be newly built, which surprised me since the words "tourist hotel" had made me picture somewhere old and worn. It was very clean, and breakfast was especially tidy and nicely prepared. We had a really pleasant stay.

The view of Dongpirang at sunset and after dark from our window was beautiful, and the location made it easy to reach Dongpirang Village, Ganggu Port, Nammangsan Sculpture Park, and the Central Market. Chungmu Gimbap and Honey Bread shops were right outside, and the nearby grocery store came in handy too. We spent one night here for our anniversary. The room was spotless with modern decor, and I was especially glad the floor was laminate instead of carpet. Breakfast was much better than I expected: fresh fruit and warm dried pollack soup made for a filling, comforting start to the day. We enjoyed our stay and I'll book here again next time we're in Tongyeong.

Having a beer with my friends after a foot bath in the big bathtub was the best part of the day. I tend to be picky about beds, but the clean bedding at the newly remodeled Tongyeong Tourist Hotel let me sleep comfortably. The room also had a lovely view of the Tongyeong seaside. There were plenty of good restaurants nearby, and we could easily walk to Dongpirang and the Central Market.

The layout was easy to navigate, and the staff were friendly enough that I had no trouble during my stay. I came across this place while traveling around Tongyeong on foot. Since it had just opened, everything felt clean and pleasant. Sharing the stay with a friend made the trip more relaxing, and the accommodation was a comfortable place to rest. Breakfast was light and simple, with Korean food as well as cereal and toast. I especially liked the Korean options.
