For one night, it was comfortable enough. The staff weren't rude, though I couldn't quite tell how friendly they were, haha. We looked out onto rice fields and farms rather than the ocean. Beaches and restaurants were only a short drive away, so it wasn't a big problem, but you'll need a car.
The owners have such kind smiles and are thoughtful. I'd like to come back. The pension has a central living room with rooms on either side, and each room has its own kitchen and bathroom, which gives everyone plenty of privacy. There are five detached buildings, about 30 pyeong each, with rooms that work for couples traveling together. We had room to grill outdoors on November 1 since there was no wind, and we could be noisy without worrying about disturbing anyone. The air felt so clean I thought one breath could clear away all the dust from Seoul. Parking is spacious too. Within a 10-minute drive are a Hanaro Mart, a butcher selling 600g of Hanwoo beef for 65,000 won, Cheoncheon Port, and the Bongpo Port Fish Center. For a family trip to Sokcho, I'd definitely recommend Dalbeach Pension.
Private barbecue, a garden, and a clean place to stay. Lovely Mongsil, too. Of all the places I've stayed in Goseong, this has been the best value. I'd happily return.
The rooms were clean, the area was peaceful, and the beach was close by, making it a nice place for a quiet, relaxing break. Dal Beach Resort was also used twice as a location in "Fisherman's City".
It's comfortable and I had no trouble during the stay, though the pension isn't right by the sea. The beach is about a five-minute drive away.
