Uijeongbu Star Ruby

The facilities were fairly clean, and the room itself was decent, but I was disappointed by the check-out mix-up. The listing said hourly stays were accepted until 11:00 AM, while at the hotel they told me to leave by 10:00 AM. I wondered if they were going to accept another guest at 11:00 AM. They also said only deluxe rooms were available, possibly because there were so many guests, so I had no choice but to stay and rest. The hourly rental was for five hours, which meant check-out by 11:00 AM according to the listing.

VIP Room 201 was clean and nice overall, and the weekend price didn’t seem too high for a VIP room. The room had two PCs, a massage chair, and a Styler, all working perfectly. The amenities were pretty standard for a place like this. The window was open when I checked in, so it felt chilly at first, but I turned up the underfloor heating and it got nice and warm, haha. Hotel guests could also help themselves to simple canned drinks, bottled water, and ice cream on the first floor. Good good!!

A heads-up from a bad experience: parking is limited. Yanolja says there’s a public lot 100 meters away with free parking at night, but it was actually 300-400 meters away, and parking overnight cost around 9,000 won.

The actual product wasn’t as nice as the picture, but it was easy to take care of and arrived quickly. Most of all, the staff were very kind and considerate.
