Ulsan Seongnam Dong Hotel Marr

Based on the Yanolja reviews, I'd avoid this place. TVs, computers, and bathtubs aren't available, and cockroaches are said to be all over the rooms. They give you a room below the one you booked, then, if you spot it and complain, deny it and make it seem as though they're doing you a favor by moving you up.

The lobby breakfast setup is awkward: there's no separate dining room, so you eat bread, cup noodles, and boiled eggs on the first floor among people walking through. Sometimes the food hasn't been replenished, and with bread spoiling quickly in midsummer, I wonder how carefully it's managed. The room itself was filthy. Dust was everywhere, the showerhead had what looked like mold or water stains, and the spa tub was dirty and neglected. The computer keyboard was covered in maggots. It made me feel sick, and they should just get rid of it. Housekeeping doesn't properly clean or restock the room, and something is always missing, whether toiletries, bath towels, or paper cups. What's the point of free gym and sauna access when the place you're meant to rest is this dirty? I can't imagine the owner sees the rooms and keeps running things this way. I won't ever come back.

The location is great, but the facilities are awful. I booked a two-night business trip event room through Yanolx, with 11am check-in and check-out. This was the worst place I've stayed. There were broken walls, piles of old-looking dust, and strange debris all over the computer keyboard. The toilet's automatic switch didn't work, so I had to operate it by hand. The bidet didn't work either because it wouldn't run automatically. The bathroom was in terrible shape, with mold everywhere, a broken showerhead, and a yellow bathtub. The sink pressure was fine, but the shower pressure was weak. Even the guesthouse I stayed in before joining the military was better.

It's a standard room and a decent place to rest during a business trip. The rooms are clean and nice. It's in the old downtown area of Ulsan, with quite a few restaurants nearby, though the area isn't very busy. The PC doesn't work, and despite the "spa whirlpool" label, that doesn't work either, haha.
