Ulsan Seongnam-dong V

This was my second stay here in three months, and this time I stayed for a week. The hotel is new and modern, and the housekeeping is excellent. Staff are very good, too. There's free breakfast from 7AM, and it opens right on time. Shops and restaurants line the street behind the hotel, which has a covered stretch between the buildings for several blocks. It's a good spot to eat or shop without driving. It suits my needs well, and I'd stay again.

The location is the highlight for me. Ulsan Youth Street is right below Hotel Riverside Ulsan, with loads of shops and restaurants, and I think it's an underrated hidden gem. The price, room size, and cleanliness are all great, too. This is the best "budget hotel" I've tried in South Korea. I'd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Ulsan. 10/10.

Check-in and check-out are easy with the machine, and the hotel is easy to get to. We had a room with one double bed and one single bed, without a view, but we could still see a bit of the river.

The staff were friendly and professional, and the breakfast was fine, though nothing special. I liked the river view, even if Ulsan's architecture is pretty utilitarian. The room was clean, with a very comfortable bed and more equipment than I expected, including a washing machine, cooker, and an enormous fridge. It had just about everything for sitting out a pandemic. The one awkward bit was the toilet placement, which made it difficult to sit down. I had a very pleasant weekend here.
