The terrace overlooking quiet Dongho Beach was the highlight for me. In winter, the sunlight poured in and made the cold air feel warm, with waves audible in the stillness. Inside, the all-white rooms had clean marble floors and hygienic bedding. It’s good value and not too crowded. They provide wine glasses, dishes, pots, and cooking gear including a rice cooker, microwave, electric cooktop, and coffee pot, so it could work well for a few summer nights. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other disposable items aren’t supplied. Off-season rates were 35,000 won on weekdays and 50,000 won on weekends.

I was underwhelmed at first, though after one night I felt a lot better about the stay. The room came with everything we needed, including dog pads and a dog bed, which was convenient. The main drawback is that the beach in front is fenced off for a military base, so you can’t enter the sea there.

You can watch the sunrise right from the bed, with the sea directly outside. It’s also possible to use the BBQ. For this price, expecting more would be unreasonable, so I thought it was great value.

I stayed in B 101 and B 102. B 101 is the largest room, down at the bottom of the stairs. There’s a convenience store nearby, and it’s quiet, so it works well if you just need somewhere to sleep. Good value for money.
