Hotel Wavellent Yangyang

The window view was pretty limited and the room felt a little cramped, but getting a very reasonable price helped. I’d booked without paying much attention to the room or view because I expected to arrive late and just sleep. I still care most about the view when I choose somewhere to stay, and I was very happy with it, so I’ll check this hotel again next time I plan a trip to Yangyang. Maybe it’s the off-season, but the price was incredibly reasonable. I was doubtful because the rooms were so cheap, then pleasantly surprised by how clean and neat everything was. One mirror, in the bathroom, was disappointing, and not having large towels was a real letdown compared with other hotels.

I was concerned the room might be cold in winter, but it warmed up quickly. The bathroom had good water pressure, too. Great view, good price, and right by the beach with the ocean in front. We had a nice time and made happy memories.

We booked a Deluxe Family Twin (Half Ocean View). There is a building in front, so you only see part of the sea, though the ocean itself is still beautiful, haha. There were just three face towels. For a triple bed, maybe that means three small towels, but what about a body towel? The biggest issue was the sensor light from the temperature and light controls beside the bed. It was so bright at night it felt like sleeping with the light on. The controls are by the bathroom passage, but that still makes the room bright. If you can’t sleep with lights on, it’ll drive you crazy. I won’t come back because of that button.

A clean, comfortable new place with a spacious room and lots of storage, so there wasn’t anything inconvenient about the space. The East Sea is right there from the room, with a fantastic view and a great surfing spot. It’s a peaceful vacation place and really good value for money. I love it.
