The open grassy space in the middle is great for kids to run around. You can also take a short walk behind the old house. It was my first glamping trip, and I really didn’t want to leave. The lack of amenities didn’t bother me, and even the darkness at night felt fine, haha. The breeze, fresh air, and cuckoos made it feel peaceful. I’d recommend this place for glamping near Seoul.

The kids had so much room to run around on the big lawn that they’re already asking when we can come back. The owner was really kind, too. The place was clean and tidy, and I slept great. Such a nice mix of a Hanok hotel and glamping. We loved it.

There were quite a lot of bugs, which comes with being out in nature. The person who showed us to the room spoke in a very old-fashioned way. For the price, I was a bit disappointed.

I’ve been to Karaba a few times. In the winter of 2021, I went for Christmas. The restaurant and coffee shop weren’t open, and it was cold, but I still had fun. I ended up heading home early in the morning after a power outage. At the start of summer 2023, I stayed at Karaba 3 for free. It rained, which was nice, and they gave me rice cakes. On another visit, I stopped by after Jaein Falls and a cafe. It’s a great place to take pictures, and if you want to sleep in a hanok, it’s definitely worth coming here.

This is a place to slow down and relax, out in the countryside with no amenities nearby. You’ll need to drive out for food, though breakfast can be provided if you ask. The rice and side dishes were tasty, but the servings were bigger than I expected. Maybe that’s just because I normally eat very little in the morning. The Hanok interior feels traditional, and the bathroom was in better shape than I expected. It’s a modern bathroom inside the Hanok room. The wooden floor creaks when you walk on it, but since it wasn’t my own house, I found it funny. I also saw the accommodation where that person who likes Chivas Regal stayed. The cafe and restaurant next door were being built when I visited. Their modern style felt a little out of place, and I wondered why they hadn’t built them in the Hanok style. There was also a lien spray-painted on a first-floor window. I’m not sure whether the lien was transferred because construction stopped during COVID-19 and they couldn’t secure investment, or whether the administrative process is still ongoing. I hope it all works out for them.
