The superior room with a balcony was fine, and I liked that there was no Cesco air freshener smell. We could open the doors for fresh air, and the place has a cool atmosphere. Noise wasn't a problem during our low-season visit, though the rooms do feel a bit dated. I’d like to stay another night, but the floor mats were so thin that I couldn’t get comfortable. I’ve slept on much better mats at other hanoks, so thicker bedding would make a real difference. The heat was another issue: in the middle of winter, the controls wouldn’t let us set it below 25C, and we were all too hot with the warmth trapped under the blankets and mats. Guests should be able to turn the temperature down. Checkout at 11 am also feels early. Noon would be better. If these things were addressed, I’d come back. I doubt I’m the only guest who feels this way.

The deck was a lovely spot to take in the ocean, including both sunrise and sunset, and the stay felt peaceful. The hotel is beautifully built and well cared for, with attentive service and lots of traditional furniture and closet space. We had low tables and floor cushions for eating or playing games. The floral satin bedding had a sheet underneath and soft feather pillows, and an extra floor bedding set was provided for our additional guest. The floors are heated, the shower was nice, and the water closet had a bidet. Floor-to-ceiling windows with heavy damask curtains completed the room. A beautiful stay, highly recommend.

Beautiful, affordable place to stay in town. The rooms are all built in traditional Korean Hanok style. Highly recommend!

The ocean view is mesmerizing, and the room service stood out most. The staff were the best I’ve come across, and breakfast was simple but very satisfying. The rooms seem to have been renovated quite a while ago, but they’re clean and not cold despite the Hanok structure. There’s air conditioning in every room. A little more lighting here and there would be nice, though it was comfortable overall.
