West Hills Private Pool Villa

Gooood, had a good time.

Being away from the city center made for a fairly quiet stay. The room’s ocean view was stunning, with both sunrise and sunset visible from the window. For the price, the rooms and service were much better than I expected.

The pool is available for relaxing, though use depends on reservation restrictions. Breakfast isn’t served on site, but partner restaurants make it convenient. There are no disposable items, but the place has a good range of basic household supplies for a comfortable stay. I couldn’t tell whether this was a pool villa, pension, or hostel. Looking at the bookings, there seem to be room types spanning all those categories. The access road is a little tricky, but not especially inconvenient, and the view is excellent.

The ocean view is nice, though getting food means walking a long way. The property sits at the edge of the accommodation area, with hills and narrow roads where you end up hoping nobody’s coming the other way. The rooms were clean and well kept, but the pool and other facilities looked badly in need of cleaning and maintenance. Service was disappointing, and we had to take the hotel’s trash to the first-floor disposal area ourselves. I hadn’t emptied a bathroom bin since my military service, so that was a first. At least the price is reasonable.
