Yeosu Hotel L Crane

It had a pretty ordinary motel vibe. I came from Seoul and checked in late, hoping for a decent place to sleep, but it was only so-so, haha. Having a hair straightener in the room was nice. The room was too cold, though.

We booked over Chuseok, and I was worried beforehand, but it turned out to be a good-value motel. The bedding was clean, nights were quiet, and the owner and staff were very kind. Getting to Yeosu restaurants and attractions cost 4,000 to 7,000 won by taxi, and some places were close enough to walk to. I stayed three days and two nights expecting no housekeeping at a non-luxury hotel, but came back to a completely cleaned room. I felt happy and a little bad, since I'd left it messy thinking nobody would tidy up. The bed felt cozy and the bedding was hotel quality. I didn't see any bugs. The air conditioner was a bit noisy, though it had precise fan speed settings. In summer I might have taken off a star. There was a hair dryer and straightener, smoking areas at the end of the hallway on each floor, and an unlimited variety of drinks in the lobby. Tell the front desk if you'd rather skip cleaning on consecutive nights. Parking is limited, but valet parking is available.

The person who showed me in was very friendly. I stayed at the end of March, and the room was so hot I had to sleep with the air conditioning on. It seemed old and was loud, so I didn't sleep well, which was a shame.

The rooms are clean and have everything you need. It's right by Yeosu Baek Hospital, and the romantic pocha street is about a 10-minute taxi ride away. I'd be happy to stay here again on my next trip to Yeosu.
