We really enjoyed our family holiday here and would definitely come back. The views were great, there was a pool and plenty to do for adults and kids. Horse riding in the hills was a real highlight. A few things need work. Some items in our room were broken, and breakfast only starts at 9:30, which seems very late for a buffet. It should start at 7:00, like at a normal place. Restaurant service was inconsistent: at lunch, a gentleman named Nursultan gave us some of the best service I’ve had in Kz, but the evening service wasn’t nearly as good. Meals took a long time to cook even when it wasn’t busy, and the dishes came out one by one.

The fresh air, mountains, and nature were stunning, and I had lots of fun walking around and riding horses. Sakskaya banya was a really interesting experience too. The two Banya attendants were friendly and experienced, and we had plenty of laughs and heartfelt chats in between our “torture” :) The wait staff were friendly and quick, but I wouldn’t really recommend the food. That’s why I’m giving it four stars, though I’d definitely return.

I wouldn’t recommend this resort to tourists. There was no clean water in our room, just brown water that they said was dirt from the mountains. The managers seemed nice, but we had two bad experiences. At the only restaurant, staff said they couldn’t serve us dinner because the kitchen was closed, then went on taking an order from a local family. The waitress called the manager, who translated something on the phone, threw it onto the table, and walked away angrily. At the horse riding, they knew we were Arab and wouldn’t let us leave until we paid 10,000 tenges. When we said we’d tell the manager, they let us go. This place felt like it was only for locals.
