The laundry bill was shocking. A bag that cost us £7 in Almaty came to £50 here, with every small item charged separately. It feels like the prices are so high because there are hardly any laundry services in Aktau outside hotels. I came back after having a great stay last year, but this visit was awful. The staff were rude and very unfriendly, except for one person on the night shift. The rooms were okay, but housekeeping kept leaving us with just one bath towel for two people. Breakfast was average, and the pineapple on our last day tasted mouldy. At midnight, loud music kept repeating in the corridor and we couldn't sleep. I called reception three times to ask them to turn it off, and each time they hung up on me instead of stopping it. The walls are thin too, we could clearly hear the next room's conversation. I had a really bad stay this time, and the staff weren't helpful.

The place was fresh and pretty clean. After checking in, though, they asked us to move because breakfast was about to start. The way they said it made it sound like they thought we were trying to get breakfast for free or something.

For a relatively new hotel, the rooms are decent and modern, and the price is good. The front desk staff were helpful. The beds could be a little bigger, the double seemed to be about 140 cm. Also, leaving the “room service” sign out didn't get the room cleaned.

I've stayed here twice and enjoyed both visits. It's a quiet, fairly new hotel with comfortable rooms and good beds, so I slept really well. Breakfast had plenty of interesting options, and the coffee was good. The internet worked well too. The location was handy, about a 10-minute walk to the seafront, with both the rock path and promenade reachable on foot. The staff were nice and helped with my requests, including keeping my luggage for a few days, laundry, and booking a taxi to the airport. One small letdown on arrival: the man at reception didn't offer welcome tea or even say “welcome.”
