I felt right at home during my first two weeks of vacation at the Flamingo Hotel. My parents had stayed here before, and I’ll choose it again next time. It’s in a residential area at Beybitshilyk Avenue 5/1. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have everything you need, and the staff are friendly and easy to talk to if you have questions. Breakfast is at the Udarnik Café, where the food is delicious and the staff are polite and welcoming. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

Dinner was very good, and Dasha, the waitress, was friendly and very pretty. She showed me around the different rooms. The restaurant, sauna, and pool are downstairs in the basement, where there are also historical artifacts from politics, sports, and electronics. I could park my motorcycle at the hotel. I recommend staying here.

The hotel was cozy and tidy, and there wasn’t much to complain about. It’s a reasonable price, though it takes a 10-15-minute taxi ride to get downtown since it’s on the outskirts. The Udarnik cafe/restaurant is a nice bonus. If you miss the USSR and want a tasty menu at a reasonable price, this place is for you.

The main drawback is that nobody speaks English. Otherwise, the rooms are roomy and have a small fridge, several tables, and wardrobes. When we checked out, the hotel reception gave us some typical Kazakh products.

Udarnik is a good cafe, with tasty food and a Soviet-themed atmosphere. The hotel itself is quiet, clean, and cozy, a very nice place.
