Samal Hotel

Room 16 had dust under the bed, and our suitcases ended up covered in dirt. The cleaning staff didn’t clean even after we asked politely, and responded by swearing. They spent the day on the couch on the first floor by reception, fiddling with a phone instead. The woman at reception, who is Kazakh, was beyond words: she talked nonsense and called other guests names, even though that isn’t part of her job. The worst hotel ever.

A nice hotel, clean and cozy, with a welcoming manager. They’ll help find an available room at any time.

I liked it here. It’s quiet, cozy, clean and inexpensive, with polite staff and tasty breakfast included. Easy to get to, and there’s parking.

The place was clean, and the staff were sharp, capable professionals. Such a shame there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms.
