Check Inn Hostel

It’s hard to explain, but my friend and I didn’t feel this place was suited to backpackers. The owners came across as both kind and stressful. One of them said I should wash the toilets, even though I always clean up after myself. It felt like being in the owner’s home with a mum and older sisters ready to correct us if they thought we’d done something wrong. Before leaving, you’re expected to clean the whole room floor. That’s sad, because I did feel sympathy for the owners, but something felt off. Maybe it’s cultural? Either way, that doesn’t justify the remarks or the disapproving looks about us that we saw on the owners’ faces. Peace and understanding!
