We got to the hotel at about 3 am after our flight landed early, but nobody was at reception and our calls went unanswered. We waited in the reception area until 11 am, still without any help. Eventually we used another guest’s phone to call, and the receptionist finally arrived at noon. As a tourist in Kazakhstan, I found it a very bad experience.

I stayed at this hotel for four days and forgot my bag of cash when I left to catch my flight. I called them the next day, but they ignored me and didn’t return the money, nearly $3,000. I even offered them $500 to give it back, but got no response. That was two months of salary I lost. This was my first really bad experience. They weren’t honest, and I don’t think this place is safe. Don’t book here.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly. One problem is the baseboard, which is attached with screws sticking out. Also, a refrigerator in the shared kitchen would be very useful, but there isn’t one.

There are quiet neighbors, polite staff, and a clean, cozy room with its own bathroom. You can see the mountains from the kitchen window, and the location is convenient, with plenty of markets nearby and buses that get to the city center quickly. The kitchen has a microwave but no stovetop, and there’s no elevator. I recommend the hotel and would stay again.
