We paid 2,000 tenge per bed, but the place still wasn’t comfortable, even at that price. It has the feel of a Soviet-era student dormitory, and might do for a night if you have nowhere else to go, but I wouldn’t choose it for several days. The bedding was stained and the rooms smelled. There was just one shower for three eight-bed dorms, no individual lockers with keys, and no outlets by the upper bunks, so there was nowhere to charge a phone overnight. The administrator wasn’t there; a girl who lives at the property checked us in.

I’ve never stayed in a worse hostel. Think hard before booking here. You’ll waste your time and money, so my advice is to stay away. I guarantee it.

There was dust everywhere and the place felt filthy. I don’t know when they last cleaned the single shower shared by 24 people. Nights were noisy, with no curfew. The hostel’s name really doesn’t fit, and the administrator, Vyach5slav, I think, gets a minus from me. Terrible place. I’ll never go back.
