Najs Almatyi Hostel

The room was smaller than at similar budget stays, and staff were polite but could do with better English, especially with more foreign tourists visiting Almaty. Still, the city center location is good, and breakfast was awesome with lots of variety. There was hot water, and the heater in the room worked properly.

Our clothes and personal belongings were stolen from the room while we were out. Staff showed no proper concern or sense of responsibility, and there was no security or safety for guests. We felt stressed and unsafe throughout the stay. The hotel was also extremely dirty and poorly maintained. Even the dusty reception area made it seem like cleanliness and basic standards weren’t a priority, and the rooms didn’t feel properly cleaned either. Staff could barely communicate in English, so explaining problems and getting help was almost impossible for us as international visitors. Management was very unprofessional, hygiene was poor, and guest support was terrible. I strongly advise tourists to avoid this hotel completely unless they want to risk their belongings and ruin their trip.

Adema at reception was especially kind, welcoming, and professional. She was always ready to answer questions, and her friendly attitude made the stay even nicer. The hotel’s location was very convenient, and I found my room clean, the bed comfortable, and everything well organized. Breakfasts were delicious with a good range of options. I had a wonderful stay. Thank you for the great service!

I don’t get the low reviews. My stay was phenomenal, and for the price this is hands down one of the best value hotels I’ve stayed in. The rooms felt brand new, spacious, spotless, and modern. Fresh-smelling sheets and everything so soft, it felt like a five-star experience. Breakfast was outstanding, easily one of the best I’ve had for this value. There were over 50 options, served outside on a lovely patio surrounded by trees. Such a perfect way to start the day. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location couldn’t be better for exploring and hanging out. Highly recommend!
