The food is three stars. Qazaq Auyl is beautiful, and the setting is the main draw. Even the entrance is an experience: you pass through a doorway with yarn-like things hanging from the ceiling, which looks striking, though it's hard to describe. Further in, there's a direct view into the kitchen where you can watch the chefs cooking and preparing food. The restaurant views are stunning and make the visit feel special. The food itself is just okay and somewhat expensive, so it feels like the atmosphere and scenery are what you're paying for. I tried the shaslik, but it was dry and overcooked. The bone marrow was fine, though nothing special, since bone marrow is already delicious on its own, and it didn't really justify the price. Getting there by taxi was easy, but getting picked up was another matter. We waited ages for a ride and eventually walked about 800 meters or more down to the main highway, which wasn't pleasant after a long meal. Worth a visit for the views and unusual atmosphere, but keep expectations measured for the food and convenience.

The cozy room had an absolutely amazing view, and the service is what made the whole stay perfect. I'm from Thailand and had questions about transportation, schedules, skiing locations, and other things. The team helped me on WhatsApp before I even arrived, and were more attentive than the other places I contacted. Alikhan and his team greeted me in my first hour there and gave me clear guidance and help planning my ski schedule. He was super friendly and helpful. Thanks for making this trip so memorable. We booked five nights, from Feb 28 to Mar 4 (see attached), but our flight out of Dubai was cancelled on Feb 28 because the WAR in the Middle East started. We told the hotel right away. They were sympathetic and accommodating at first, but later cancelled our refund completely and didn't even offer a voucher for the five nights at another time. I find that very unreasonable, to say the least, and don't recommend this hotel in Almaty.

The view and clean rooms at this cottage were especially lovely, and everything else was amazing too. The breakfast was the part I didn't like: it was very limited and served cold.

The property was brand new, neat, and clean, with all the latest amenities. Our room even had a private sauna, a lovely luxurious touch. The staff were friendly and attentive, and I had a fantastic stay. Highly recommend!
