We had a reservation and had told them we'd arrive in the morning. Finding the entrance took us about 20 minutes, and when we called, nobody helped. Eventually other people pointed us to it. The place smelled bad and looked shabby, not like the photos. The staff were extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. They only said we were too early to check in, even though we just wanted to leave our luggage and had mentioned our morning arrival when booking. So we left and found another hostel.

The location is hard to beat: the metro is three minutes away on foot, and the historic center, Arbat, and TsUM are all walkable. The old Yubileyny store is two minutes away and stays open 24 hours. Reception is open around the clock too. Inside, the individual capsules are cozy, and the hostel has all the amenities: a well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, TV, PlayStation, lots of board games, two toilets and two showers, plus a locker for everyone. It’s very clean, with several cleanings a day. Prices are a little higher than at other hostels, but I think that’s why the other guests are so friendly. I recommend it.

The hostel feels cozy, stays clean, and is quiet at night. There’s no drinking, and the mostly young guests are all friendly and helpful. Big thanks to the administration for helping me sort out a few issues.
