The breakfast could use work. The omelet was cold, as if it had been made ahead of time, though staff did let us come in a few minutes before the 8:00 AM start. We also found the pool and sauna cost extra, which the advertisement hadn't made clear. Complimentary tea bags and extra water in the room would be a welcome touch. The pillows were hard foam, and there was an unpleasant smell in the room. We even found a small bone on the floor, so cleanliness concerned us. The main entrance could be better maintained too, since it makes the first impression. We arrived late in the evening with children, and the stay didn't meet our expectations. The staff were hospitable, and I hope the hotel takes these suggestions into account. Better cleanliness and comfort, along with clearer information about extra services, would make a more pleasant stay for future guests.

It's an old, cool hotel, close to Astana train station and an easy walk from plenty of amenities.

The breakfast was very tasty, and the receptionist and other staff were lovely. The hotel is nice and well located near the old town. Sadly, the sauna and pool weren't in service.

Beautiful decor and traditional service, plus an amazing homemade breakfast that was free. The hotel was built for high-ranking government visitors.
