4/10
The bathroom ceiling had alarming mold, and the room felt badly in need of updating. Cleaning also wasn’t done well, with clumps of hair left on the floor. The soundproofing is awful, and light comes through the transparent door panels whenever someone turns on a corridor light. I could hear everything, even the neighbors breathing. There was no bottled water, only a shared cooler in the dining area, and they provided slippers but no bathrobe. There’s just one outlet, behind the nightstand, so I had to ask for an extension to charge my phone. Management should address the rooms, especially the insulation and mold.

It’s a cheap, clean place just five minutes from Bayterek tower, close to the center of Astana. The hosts were really friendly, nice, and helpful.
