Best Western Plus Astana Hotel

The location is the one good thing. At 6:30 there was noisy construction, the bar and Indian restaurant were closed, and breakfast needs work. Nothing was chilled, including the butter, yogurt, and juices, and the croissants were old and hard. The regular rooms are tiny, too hot, and hard to sleep in, with heavy old furniture and no room to move. The hotel needs an urgent upgrade. Staff, especially at reception, were grumpy and unfriendly, and didn’t make guests feel welcome.

The only reason I’m giving four stars is the AC. It stopped working in the middle of the night, came back at 6 PM that evening, then failed again overnight and still wasn’t on. I hope they fix it so it runs reliably. Apart from that, I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights. The hotel is well located, with many restaurants within walking distance and Baiterek Tower nearby. My room was spacious and clean. Breakfast mostly had salad items and bread, so I appreciated Chef Prakash making me a delicious vegan breakfast of fried rice and vegetables. The front desk service was friendly, and I still recommend the hotel for its location.

Breakfast is included for all guests, with no extra charge, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It’s an affordable hotel in the city center, within walking distance of the main promenade, Baiterek Tower, and shopping malls.

The location is excellent, right by Nurzhol Boulevard and within walking distance of the main attractions. Staff were polite and helpful, got me checked in quickly, and shared useful tips about nearby places. My room was spacious and modern, with a comfortable bed and good soundproofing, which matters in the city center. Breakfast was tasty and varied, especially the fresh fruit and pastries. I stayed during a trip to the capital and came away with a very good impression. A good option for work or a leisure trip in Astana.
