Business Hotel

I chose this hotel because it's close to my meetings, and for that it's convenient. It's a cozy enough place, but not one I'd go far out of my way to stay at. Things seemed okay, though there are better options. There was no bathroom mirror; they apologized but never fixed it. Breakfast isn't a buffet, you order it.

The old three-story building has a lot of character, and the location in the center of the right bank is good. Still, a few easy fixes would improve the stay. There isn't Wi-Fi, and no complimentary water in the room, even though both seem like inexpensive basics. Breakfast isn't included, and the paid one was awful and pricey, so I'd avoid it. For three thousand tenge, nearby cafes can serve a great meal; here I got badly oversalted scrambled eggs, three stale dumplings, a stale bun, and odd broth. The hairdryer was broken too. It's an okay place to stay, just don't expect great service.

The room had a stale smell that even opening the window didn't clear. The walls were worn and black, the paint was peeling, and the beds creaked. There were no shaving supplies, and the price felt far too high. The hotel really needs renovating.

The staff handled things professionally, and I appreciated the hotel tour and quick check-in to the room I'd chosen. The location is good, and there's decent value for money, with shared rooms available to rent separately as well as spacious, comfortable suites.
