G Empire Hotel

The coffee at the bar was the only thing I liked. The room was in awful condition, my key failed several times, and while I was in the toilet someone opened my door without knocking. The staff weren't kind either.

The rooms are big, with comfortable beds and nice cameras. If you're after a central place to stay for the day, it works. But for a four-star hotel, I'd expect more. The sauna is in an old section, reached through a service corridor, and costs extra. The restaurant feels like a bar, with only a few dishes that take a long time to arrive. Food quality and service were both below average.

The staff were polite and courteous, and that's what earns the two stars. I'm not coming back. My room was dusty, the lamps didn't work, and the carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed during cleaning. The bathtub wouldn't drain, the rain shower head fell down, and the soap, shampoo, and other bathroom items were poor quality. The towels were low quality too.

The 24-hour reception was the best part for me. They were always available, helped with reservation changes, and even booked a flight with the national airline and printed my ticket. The bar by reception is useful, and the entrance is really nice. Breakfast runs from 7 to 10 in a pleasant room where you can charge your phone at the table; the food is average. The room was large and clean, with a comfortable bed, good shower, and good Wi-Fi. The location works well if you have a car or use taxis. Good value for money, and I'd recommend it if you're able to get around by car.
