The Square Hotel

The rooms are modern, clean, and nice, and breakfast was good. The staff were friendly too. It seemed a little out of the way at first, but getting around with Uber or Yandex ride apps wasn’t a problem. A lovely hotel in Astana, recommended.

There are some things that need attention: housekeeping could be better, and the towel rails, mirror lights, and door handles are loose and look ready to fall off. Otherwise, it’s a new hotel with a big, comfortable room, a good breakfast, and a nice restaurant and bar.

For a four-star hotel, it’s a decent place, though nothing especially exciting. The price is okay, the rooms are clean and tidy, and there’s a small breakfast buffet. The downstairs restaurant is all right, but the service is slow.

My first visit wasn’t great, but I said in my earlier review to give the place time. Glad to say I was right, it’s improved a lot. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and the new hotel has simple but modern decor. Breakfast is a nice standard English style. It just needs a little more attention to detail now.
