ATB Grand Hotel

A lovely hotel, and the high-end price is mostly justified. I was a little disappointed there was no bar or evening restaurant, since there aren't many food options nearby.

The rooms have amazing high ceilings, and some come with a kitchen, an extra room, a washing machine and an iron. You can use the pool and sauna, and the receptionists speak English.

During a week of isolation, I stayed in one of the nice units with a separate bedroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen. Some units have balconies, though not all. Service was good, while the food was average. I'd still give it five stars.

The kitchen in my apartment had proper stoves and an oven, and the room was clean with good-quality equipment. There were two balconies, one off the bedroom and one off the living room. I stayed for three days and two nights, from 14.02.2019 to 16.02.2019, while working in Kazakhstan as an expat. The hotel takes Amex, Visa and Mastercard, and there's an ATM right at the entrance if you need cash. Though it isn't in the city center, a taxi costs only 3 - 5 US dollars, including to the airport. For quality versus price, it's the best hotel in Atyrau I've stayed at so far. I'd recommend it and will definitely return. I'd have given five stars if the breakfast had been better, and if my room had had the bathtub shown in the reservation photos instead of a shower.
