The outside of the hotel looks unappealing, and the building is old. Inside, though, my room was spacious and clean, with an AC that worked properly without being noisy. For the price, it's a very good place to stay.

The standard rooms aren't large, but they were clean and comfortable. It's a nice hotel near the city center, and the restaurant is good. WiFi is free in the hall. In the room, internet is through a cable and may cost extra, about 10 euros a day.

After two months in Tengiz, I really appreciated the delicious breakfast each morning. I love this hotel. There's also a calisthenics park right by the river nearby, so no excuses!

There are four nearby restaurants or pubs for lunch and dinner, and Chagala also has plenty of food choices. Breakfast is served at the hotel, with both sweet and savory options, from brioches to eggs and wurstel. The service here is good.

Most rooms have dated furniture, but they’re all well heated in winter. Breakfast includes porridge, fruit such as sliced orange, grapefruit, mandarins, apple and banana, plus cheese, baked potato, yogurt, juices, cornflakes, muesli, milk, coffee and tea. You can also order an omelette. The TV has many channels in different languages, and there’s an ATM by reception for cash withdrawals. The free WiFi gets really slow in the evenings.
