Wyndham Garden Burabay

We’re really enjoying our stay, and I wanted to add a positive review since some others seemed a little unfairly negative. The staff are friendly and ready to help, and service has been great. It’s a new, clean hotel with a large pool and a beautiful spa that’s reasonably priced compared with hotels in Nur-Sultan. The lake walks are wonderful, and squirrels come right up close. There’s plenty for children: outdoor play areas, an indoor kids’ zone, and a supervised play space by the second-floor restaurant, which is handy when they get restless while you’re finishing a meal. The rooms are a decent size and clean, with robes, an iron, a hairdryer, and what you’d need. You can share your phone screen to the TV. For a lake view, choose a room on floor 5 or above. I’ve stayed at other hotels nearby, and they weren’t nice at all. We arrived for a few nights from 4.5.22.

The food was tasty, the pools were good, and the surroundings were nice. I enjoyed our short stay, though check-in could have gone better. They didn’t give us towel cards or explain the facilities, and referred us to information cards in the rooms. We couldn’t find any cards or QR codes there. Breakfast needs better organization too. There were long queues, and no free tables.

We held a team-building event here, and everything went smoothly. The facilities were great and everyone was friendly. Violetta at the front desk was especially kind. Since it was my birthday, she sent a cake to my room.

The large swimming pool was a plus, and the restaurant was okay. But rooms this small feel overpriced at 300 usd, in my opinion. Coffee was only available at breakfast, which is disappointing if you love coffee. There were no show programs for March 8, even though it’s International Women’s Day. They could at least have set up a flower shop downstairs that morning. We chose the hotel because it had recently opened in the area, but I don’t think the services match the price. If good service matters to you, I’d recommend Rixos instead. It’s much better, for almost the same price. We visited on 08.03.2022.
