OZZ Hotel

The room had an unusual design that wasn’t especially practical, though it was bearable, and mine was up on the third floor with no elevator. They only clean the room if you ask, and there was no water provided in it. Breakfast was just okay. I also asked at reception whether the minibar items cost extra, but when I checked out I was told I had to pay for what I’d used.

Breakfast had a good selection and tasted great. The room, hotel, and restaurant were all clean, and the room could be serviced on request. There’s free WiFi and parking, plus a smart TV in the room.

The room was way too hot, and that plastic chair in there was really uncomfortable. Also, I don’t understand why they keep birds in such tiny cages.

The pool was about the only part of the stay I could call a plus. The restaurant staff were also pleasant, which was a rare decent moment here. The breakfast, though, was nowhere near a proper continental breakfast and wasn’t appetizing. The fried eggs and omelets were especially bad. Our Standard room was spacious, but laid out awkwardly, and the wardrobe was tiny with only two hangers. The bathroom looked nice, yet there was a constant sewage smell, also noticeable in the entrance hall and lobby. Traffic noise outside carried into the room all the time. The mattress and carpet were very dirty, and the slippers were filthy after only two days (photos attached). We also found a packet of condoms next to the bed, which felt completely inappropriate for a hotel presenting itself as a design hotel. The location is inconvenient for tourists, as we expected. Service was hit or miss, sometimes adequate and sometimes neglectful, with rude remarks along the lines of they’d get to things when they had time, maybe today or next week. The price wasn’t justified by the experience. I wouldn’t stay here again, especially for a longer visit, and was glad we could leave after this disappointing stay.
