Recreation camp Arman Dala Resort

We had a lovely family getaway here. There are barbecues, Wi-Fi, a pool, and a fish pond, plus a river lined with plenty of pavilions. They even have their own airfield, which caught me by surprise. A 15-minute flight costs 50,000 tenge (about $110).

My children say they enjoyed the camp and their holiday, and that’s what matters most to me. The setting is lovely, with clean air on the mountain slopes along the Upper Kaskelen road. It sits in the middle of a private sector and has one large building, a few houses and 2-3 different pools. There are gyroplanes that look like small helicopters, though I didn’t see them myself. I think there’s a shop nearby. It isn’t cheap, but my workplace helps cover the union fee, so going was no problem.

As a mother, I was especially glad there were no unhealthy snacks like chips or crackers. My child loved the food, the accommodations, the surroundings, the counselors, even getting up early! Hearing about it all almost felt like I’d had a vacation too. Thanks to everyone who makes this place so wonderful.

I went in late February and early March, and the mountain location made it cooler than the city. Beeline reception is weak around the grounds, though other providers work fine. There’s a lot to do: an airfield, sauna, pool, cottages, archery range, barbecue area and a nice grassy field for mini-football. A small lake and a tall, 4-story observation deck give you views of the city and grounds. The air is clean, everything’s tidy, and the staff are helpful. I really enjoyed my time here, and it’s great for a family vacation.
