The hotel is a bit far from the city center, so it makes more sense as a stop on a longer trip. My two-night stay was fine, though there was nothing especially memorable about it. The staff were friendly, but none spoke English, so talking with them took some patience. The rooms are spacious, with wooden furnishings and a somewhat Soviet-era feel. The bathroom has the regional capsule-style setup with plenty of buttons, though most seemed to do little beyond the basics of a regular shower. Breakfast was simple, and the Wi-Fi was slow enough that I used my mobile data instead. My room also wasn't cleaned during my stay.

A good hotel, no problems. Five stars.

The food is cooked on the premises and is good, though service isn't lightning fast. The staff are nice, and the Wi-Fi is good. There are no elevators and no rooms on the ground floor, so you have to take the stairs. The bathrooms are brand new with great hot water. For a post-Soviet hotel, the renovation is about as nice as you could expect. All in all, a comfortable stay.
