Altyn Adam Hotel

I’m writing this almost four years later because I still remember the people who helped me. Thank you so much. I hope you see this and reply. I haven’t forgotten you, and I’d love to thank you in person. I’m from Shymkent and had come to Pavlodar for work. I’d booked a room in case I couldn’t get away that day, and then, just as I was ready to leave, the coronavirus lockdown shut down every route home. Roads, trains, and flights were all stopped, so I had nowhere to go. The hotel staff had also left, but the owner and hostess took me in, fed me, and looked after me even though they hadn’t known this would happen. I stayed there alone for three days, and they didn’t charge me anything. I was worried about my family the whole time, until, by the will of Allah, I eventually found a way back to Shymkent. A friend, *Daniyal*, had recommended the place. I contacted them through InDriver, which might make this sound like an ad 😂😂😂, but it really isn’t. I’m just grateful to the people who hosted me when I needed somewhere to stay.

It’s a cozy room, though it felt a little damp. This was outside the heating season. The small hotel has friendly staff, and the room comes with what you need: a robe, slippers, soap, shampoo, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. Drinks and snacks are in the fridge, but they cost extra.

The staff were friendly and polite, and the service was good. I liked the clean, spacious room and the decent breakfast, and there’s parking too. The location worked well for me, about 10 minutes from the city center and 2 minutes from the beach. I stayed for a few days and enjoyed it all. I recommend it.

There are only 5-6 rooms, so it’s a nice, quiet place with friendly service. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty, though the selection wasn’t large: two fried eggs with vegetables, two sausages, bread, butter, liver, a waffle, and yogurt.
