We stay at a nesol every night, and it works well for an overnight stop. It’s conveniently right by the highway, and the rooms are decent, with a shower and toilet and beds that aren’t hard. There’s a cafe where they prepare tea, coffee, and something to eat, and the woman serving is pleasant. The woman at reception is nice too, shows you to your room, and checks that you have what you need.
The mashed potatoes and cutlet were delicious, but the soups cost 900-1600 tenge and the food overall is expensive. The solyanka was mostly sausage, and the okroshka had lots of mayonnaise. Service is very slow, it’s a bit dirty, and only the men’s restroom was working. You have to pay to use it. I won’t go back.
The room was clean and had a shower, and otherwise everything was fine. The cafeteria food was delicious, though it’s quite expensive, and the hotel isn’t cheap either. I couldn’t get breakfast at 8:45 this morning because the cafeteria doesn’t open until 9:00, and we were told the staff wouldn’t arrive until around 10:00.
Everything else is fine, but it’s disturbing and annoying when people there have loud affairs. You can hear them all along the hallway, and they’re not alone in the building. As a Muslim, I don’t like it. People should have at least a little shame.
It used to be a good hotel, but the rooms have gone downhill. The beds are broken, the mattresses sag, and there’s mold on the walls. You’re better off staying in town somewhere that looks after its rooms.
