The social feel was nice, with lots of guests arriving from the slow boat. The host was welcoming and accommodating, and laundry costs 30,000 kip. It’s about a 15-minute walk to town and around 20 minutes to the night market. We stayed at Ouis Villa for 8 days. The rooms are basic but spacious enough for backpacks, and the lamps helped us make ours comfortable. There was a smell when we first arrived, probably from the heavy rain, but it cleared by the next day. The ceilings and walls are very thin, so we heard snoring and furniture being moved most nights, though we got used to it fairly quickly. Breakfast could be better, but it was free, so it was fine. It could use some improvement, but it’s a decent, affordable stay for budget travelers.

It was clean, but the overall quality and comfort didn’t justify the price, especially given how far off-center the location is. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The Google and Booking reviews don’t match what we found. Everything felt a bit old-fashioned, including the very noisy air-conditioning, and the decor was kitschy. The downstairs rooms had no daylight. Breakfast was decent, nothing more.

The map location was wrong, but that was the only real letdown. I booked Oui's on Agoda for a few nights because the price was good and the reviews looked promising, and the place turned out even better than expected. The rooms were gorgeous, the staff kind and helpful, breakfast was delicious, and the location was great. Such a nice surprise. I’d stay at Oui's again in a heartbeat. It was the nicest place we stayed in Laos!

A quiet location, a good breakfast, and two very nice sisters running the guesthouse. Our balcony room was absolutely lovely, with a great bed and the best sheets and blanket of our two-month trip, across 18 hotels.

We had a comfortable big bed in our downstairs room, which was perfect for my wife and me. The breakfast was delicious, and the guesthouse was the most welcoming and friendly place you could hope to stay.
