The View Pavilion

The view was lovely, and I was pleased with my stay enough to come back. Sam and the team got me into my room right away. It was clean, with cozy, comfortable beds, though the place feels a bit worn, perhaps because of the antique wood furniture. The pillowcases were so old and torn they were coming apart, and some bulbs needed replacing. I also had to fiddle with the switches to get the bathroom lights on. Everything is close by, and there’s a French Boulangerie next door with delicious pastries. One odd thing, I couldn’t get through on the phone number. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Mr Talee was the best part of our stay. He was professional, always smiling, and helpful with everything, including explaining what to see in Luang. The hotel is conveniently close to the market, supermarket, and other places. It’s very clean and the beds are comfortable. You’ll love it.

We had a good balcony, and for a short stay this hotel was pretty good. It’s older and rustic, without upgrades or updates. The big issue was breakfast: I’d paid for it, but we were told none was available, and we weren’t compensated.

The staff were friendly, and one person spoke enough English that it was easy to communicate. The others were manageable too. I was there during a 6.0 earthquake; nothing fell, so the building seems sturdy. My room had great mountain views, and the laundry service worked perfectly. The hotel is at the end of the main road. I walked around, though bikes from the hotel would have made things more comfortable. There were usually tuk-tuks waiting outside. I was concerned there were no mosquito nets, but I didn’t find any mosquitos in the room, so it turned out fine.
