Mandala Ou Resort

This was a highlight of our trip in Laos. The owner and staff gave great service, and the pool was beautiful. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend booking here.

The breakfast was fantastic, with omelet, eggs, fruit, and more, all served by the river and next to the pool. The room itself was incredible. We gave it four stars only because the bathroom has a window into the room and no door, so make sure you're comfortable sharing the space with whoever you're traveling with.

We came in mid-January during an unusually cold spell, with temperatures sometimes below 10 degrees, and the room felt very cold because the ceiling isn't well insulated. We also had a few room issues: it wasn't quite clean enough and the shower was only lukewarm. The owner was friendly and attentive, and did his best to sort things out. The place is well located and welcoming, with a peaceful feel and panoramic views. The restaurant and pool are lovely, relaxing spots.

The pool was very clean and a great place to cool off while taking in the scenery. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well prepared, and the food was fresh and tasty. The owner and staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, always ready to help and quick with a smile. The setting is peaceful, right in front of the Nam Ou River with mountains all around. We felt relaxed straight away and would love to return someday.
