Nice Guesthouse

The location was great, close to the market and the only restaurants along that long stretch of road. Staff speak English, and the room had a fan, private bathroom with working hot water, decent WiFi, hangers, an old but working TV, and mesh on the windows. There was no odd smell or mold, and I slept comfortably. We were on the first floor, though, and some people smoked right outside our window. It would be nice if that area were non-smoking, but that's probably wishful thinking. The rental motorbikes are old but work, and the place may be noisy for some.

They gave us incorrect information about the bus from Phonsavan, so we ended up needing another night. After checking with other companies, we found the bus details were different. Then, because we were just 10 minutes past checkout, they wouldn't cancel our booking.

A quiet, comfortable place for a few nights, which is all you need in Phonsovanh. The price for rooms and bike rentals is good, and hot drinks are free. It's conveniently near a bakery, minimarts, the market, and the bus station.

We rented bikes here for a day and they worked great. This is one of the few places that accepts an ID card as the deposit instead of asking for a passport. We had a great ride up to the Plain of Jars, and when we brought the bikes back, we also booked a bus ticket with him.
