The room had been nicely redone, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom floor drain was in the wrong spot, though, so a nighttime shower left water all over the floor until we checked out the next day. The window shades were oddly see-through at night, so people could see in, and the room got bright at dawn. See photos:

I spent four days there in the first week of July 2024, and the service was terrible for such an expensive hotel. They say they provide water, tea, coffee, towels, showers, and shampoo, but I only got water, and only on the first day. The next day I had to ask reception for more. The air conditioner couldn't be adjusted, and sunlight came through the window, waking me at 7 every morning. They didn't even check the housekeeping in my room. I've never experienced anything like it. The price was very high, but the service quality was really terrible.

We stayed three weeks and had a great experience. There were a few minor issues, but the manager and her staff sorted everything out promptly. The location is ideal, not far from the Savannakhet night market or the river. We're definitely coming back next year.

The staff were very polite and friendly, and the rooms were clean and light. The curtains weren't see-through, which made it good for sleeping. They don't provide hot water or disposable slippers.
