We keep coming back because this place has the best position on the lake and free kayaks. Since the ownership changed, the chalets and pool haven’t been maintained as well. The food isn’t up to the standard of VV or VTE, and the coffee isn’t decent. Still, we visit regularly and love it here.

We were lucky to spend two nights in this wonderfully peaceful place, in a scenic, cozy corner of Laos’s largest lake. It’s a 45-minute drive from vang vieng, and the setting is absolutely stunning, with marvelous views. The welcoming team served great food in the restaurant. There are only six villas, so it feels very private and serene. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway.

This is a real no-shoes, no-news place, and after four peaceful nights in a spacious lakeside bungalow, we left feeling fully recharged. It’s a little isolated, which suited us perfectly. Bring supplies, since the bungalow has a fridge. Breakfast is included, with eggs or fruit, and the kitchen is open for lunch and dinner. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were wonderful and helpful. English is spoken. We spent hours swimming in the lake and taking the free kayaks out to watch water buffalo. We’d originally booked the place next door, but its owner was away on holiday when we arrived. We called green view and they were excellent, giving us a lovely room late at night and making sure our needs were taken care of. We’ll definitely stay there again. It’s a bit difficult to reach by bike, so I’d recommend taking a taxi.
